Paleo Grass-Fed Steak


  • 2 steaks of grass-fed beef, your favorite cut, no more than 1–1/2 inches thick

  • salt and pepper

  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil


  1. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator, remove any packaging, and place in a baking dish. Allow the steaks to come to room temperature.

  2. Heat the oven to 350 F.

  3. Pat the steaks dry. Sprinkle the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake the steaks for 10 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through. With 2 minutes remaining on the timer, heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Remove the steaks from the oven. Add the oil to the hot skillet and immediately add the steaks. Cook 2–4 minutes on each side, to your desired doneness, and sprinkle with more salt and pepper. Allow the steaks to rest for 5–8 minutes before serving.
